Squirrel halts DisneyWorld monorail

A monorail driver at DisneyWorld in Florida stops her train and honks her horn rather than running over a squirrel that had climbed onto the track.

In video footage posted online by a park visitor the cab can be seen slowly advancing along the track as the man with the camera explains that he can see the squirrel running in front of the train.

“There's a squirrel on the track and the female driver doesn't want to run it over so she's just inching along,” says the unnamed cameraman.

Eventually the squirrel jumps off the track at the next station to the cheers of park visitors and no doubt to the relief of the monorail passengers.
