Gravity-defying 'spider cat' becomes online favourite

Footage taken of Piggy, an incredibly supple feline, walking down the side of her owner's fridge has become an internet hit.

Thanks to what her owner calls "super grippy paws", Piggy the cat cleverly manages to navigate the sheer drop head first using the wall next to the fridge for support.

The brown and white feline even stops halfway down as if to show off her prowess before continuing her descent to the floor.

According to her owner, Piggy completes the "fridge walk" daily, apparently teaching herself how to do it as "I've no idea how she first figured it out."

The home-made video has become increasingly popular online since being posted in May with over 130,000 views on YouTube.
